…atrás dos corpos e das mentes que nós vestimos, para ter algo tangível que podemos tocar…

We spend so much time tied up within our thoughts and our bodies, we think This is It, I am here to avoid as much discomfort as I can, here to do what this skin tells me to do, now eat, now copulate, now sleep, something unsatisfying here, got to uncover it, got to feed it, to fuck it, to put it to bed.

Ah. 

"Behind the bodies and the minds in which we dress ourselves… to have something tangible that we might touch…" The only reason this body is here is to experience life. You aren't this body — look at that hand: are you that hand? Are you that foot? That finger? The eyes? Your sex? Are you your brain? The chemicals within the brain? You are an uncountable number of cells. Are you a mass of cells? 

Within each cell, innumerable atoms: are you a collection of atoms, somehow bound together? Within each atom is a huge amount empty space. Are you empty as a galaxy is empty? As a universe is mostly empty? And when you try to magnify even a single atom, a single electron, it dissolves into uncertainty, is it here or is it not here… fundamentally, you are in constant movement between matter and energy. So what are you?

The only reason for this physical body is to have something our spirit can touch, can see, can perceive with the senses. For the spirit to know itself. So let it know. Allow it to unravel, and be here for the sake of being here — whenever you are able — so the body and mind you put on each morning… it is just here for your learning. 

You are here for just a few years: ask What is it? What is it! and listen with all of your senses, with your eyes and with your ears, and with your touch and taste and smell, and with those senses which are a combination of these, and those which use of none of them. 

A few short years. Life is a dance: a vida é uma dança! The more you let it move you, the less the dress matters, and what is behind the body and the mind looks out through that thinnest of veils…
