Mrs. Rat

Mrs. Rat was a good business woman. She ran a successful vegetable stall by the roadside. It was called "Cosmic Vegetables". Sometimes she would take the day off, and then hang up a somewhat curious sign which read:

Closed.
 
We have no mistakes today. This is due to the absence of mismanagement. If you must have mistakes, please go elsewhere. Here no mistakes or mishaps.

Most of the animals coming for vegetables on those off-days just said "oh, rats!", but some of them felt there was perhaps a message here about more than cabbages and carrots…

The Rooster

A small farmer had his chicken run next to the sports grounds of an international school. One day a rugby ball landed within the enclosure of the chickens and was left unrecovered for some time. Shanti the Rooster was known for his magnificent voice, for his open mind and for not letting opportunities go to waste.

When he saw this unusual object in his territory he lost no time. He gathered all the chickens around in a circle and said, "Have a good look at this! It's not that I am complaining about your work, but I want you to see what they can do in other chicken runs!"

After a while the ball was recovered and eventually the event became part of chicken legend and a challenge and inspiration to innumerable generations of chickens and eggs. None of them cared gr
